Myrimark Information

Using Myrimark

Myrimark is a simple mark-down inspired way to allow users to have richer text. It includes just a few basic elements: lists (ordered and unordered), underlines, strikethroughs, bolds, and italics.

Paragraphs

Paragraphs are any bit of text that is seperated by two lines.

This is part of the first paragraph.
This is also part of the first paragraph.

This is another paragraph, seperate from the first.

This would be the result:

This is part of the first paragraph. This is also part of the first paragraph.

This is another paragraph, seperate from the first.

Lists

Lists can be either unordered or ordered. Unorded means that here is just a dot on the left. Ordered means numbers appear on the left. Lists are achieved by having a paragraph where the first character on each line is a hyphen or star; hyphen for ordered lists, star for unordered. Space after the character will not matter and will always be removed. Here are some examples:

Below are some list:

* I have no order,
* Thus I have a dot

- However, I will have numbers,
- Because I have order.

  • I have no order,
  • Thus I have a dot
  1. However, I will have numbers,
  2. Because I have order.

Text Decoration

Double stars, slashes, tidles, and underscores will produce bold, italic, strikethrough, and underline, respectfully. They can be used inside of each other. Just make sure to have both a begining and ending set.

I am **bold**, I am //italic//, I am ~~struckthrough~~, and I am __underlined__.

I **will have //multiple// effects**.

I am bold, I am italic, I am struckthrough, and I am underlined.

I will have multiple effects.

If you wish, for any reason, to have a double character that would normally produce decoration, place a foreward slash in front of the double pair to prevent decoration.

I want to have \**two starts.

I want to have **two stars.

Links

If you wish to link to another website, you can do so using the hyperlink notation. The text that you wish to appear is contained inside squarebrackets. The actual link appears in parenthises, immetdiatly after the brackets. Here's an example:

If you want to look something up, you can use [Google](https://www.google.com).
